Our Knabstrupper Stallion, Pyxis av Drömmarna

Honored to be the Inspiration for a Limited-Edition "BreyerFest 2026" Portrait Model

Exciting News! Shakespeare Farm is honored to announce that our very own Pyxis av Drömmarna, a Danish Knabstrupper stallion, has been selected as the inspiration for a limited-edition BreyerFest® 2026 model.

The Knabstrupper is an ancient and rare warmblood breed that originated in Denmark and was influenced by spotted Spanish horses. They are known for their loud, colorful spotted coats, the most famous of which is the “leopard” spotting pattern. The Knabstrupper was bred for sport and excels in a variety of disciplines such as dressage, jumping, and eventing. This breed also has an incredible temperament and loves to please people, making them a popular mount among junior and amateur riders. This popular Danish breed has made its way to America in the past few decades and is bringing lots of color to the ring!

Pyxis av Drommarna is our 12-year-old Knabstupper who is becoming a well-known breeding stallion for passing on his calm temperament, athleticism, and flashy coat. “Pyxis,” as he is known in the barn, embodies the unique beauty of the breed as well as its docile temperament and intelligence. He is the sole Knabstrupper stallion approved for life by the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association, the Knabstrupperforeningen (KNN), and the Westfalen Knabstupper book simultaneously. In addition to his incredible breeding achievements, Pyxis has also received top placings in both dressage and eventing competitions, demonstrating the breed’s versatility.

Pyxis av Drommarna’s Breyer portrait model exhibits his stunning chestnut leopard pattern on the loose-mane Warmblood Stallion mold (#711), which was sculpted by Susan Carlton Sifton. This gorgeous Breyer model will be available as a part of this year’s limited-edition model lineup, available to all BreyerFest 2026 ticket holders—whether you’re joining in-person or online!
