Absatz

(Abglanz Trak. x Landmoor)

Absatz is an important line founder in the hannoverian breed. He is well represented by no less than 39 approved stallions who have spread his genes all over the German warmblood breeds. A lot of them sired approved sons themselves and thereby carried on the valuable blood of Termit so the A-line is well represented in a broad variety of crosses. Among this group of Absatz sons there are names like Argentan, Aresnik, Aderlaß, Abraham, Admiral I and II and last but not least Akzent I and II.

Abglanz Trak.

(Termit Trak. x Abendluff Trak.)

Abglanz was born in Trakehnen, and served at Celle State stud. He has founded the Hannvoverian A-line. The most prominent son is certainly Absatz who is today present through Argentan, Aderlaß, Admiral I and II and their get. His lesser known influence is coming through his Abhang I to III and his Trakehner son Kassio (by Abglanz - Impuls - Sporn). The latter has lead to Achat (exported to the US in 1976 and sire of Adamo), Archivar (gelded), Aristokrat (sire of Amazonas who died in 1988) and Askan, also through Gelria who is still alive and was represented by his sons Steuben (1983 - 1991) and Grand Galopin (still alive). The Admiral II-branch seems to currently step in the background a bit but is still present through Akzent I and II as well as the highly regarded Arsenik whose son Adios (dam by Diplomat - Wöhler is still alive.
